We developed a highly bespoke booking system for Roomination Escape Rooms, one of Mid-Wales' premier escape room attractions. Combining an atmospheric, immersive UI with a custom-integrated booking engine, we transformed their online presence into a seamless experience that guides players from curiosity to 'locked-in' within seconds.

About the project
The Challenge
Located in the historic Llanfyllin Workhouse, Roomination Escape Rooms offers a high-end, atmospheric experience that was being undercut by a disjointed digital presence. Their primary hurdle was a clunky, third-party booking flow that created significant user friction and high bounce rates at the most critical stage: the checkout.
Our Approach: Seamless Integration
- Immersive Visual Identity: A sleek, modern UI that mirrors the mystery of the physical rooms without sacrificing usability.
- Custom Booking Integration: We replaced generic plugins with a bespoke, mobile-first booking engine. This allows for real-time availability sync and a friction-free, single-page checkout.
- Performance & SEO: Because many visitors browse while traveling through the Welsh countryside, we optimised the site for 4G/low-bandwidth performance. We also executed a local SEO strategy to dominate searches for "escape rooms Mid-Wales" and "things to do in Powys."
The Outcome
The new booking system and www.roomination.co.uk has been a great success—so much so that we have rolled it out as a one-stop platform for other escape room owners to utilise; a booking solution, custom website, and digital services under one package. Since launch, the site has seen a significant increase in mobile conversions and continues to support Roomination's reputation as the highest rated escape room in Wales.
